Needle extruding machine

1. The battery is squeezed between two flat plates. The extrusion force is applied by a hydraulic head with a 32 mm diameter piston. The pressure reading on the hydraulic head reached 17.2Mpa and the force was about 13KN. Once the maximum pressure is reached, the pressure can be relieved.

2. Cylindrical ring prismatic battery shall be subjected to extrusion with its longitudinal axis parallel to the plane of the extrusion device. The prismatic battery shall also be rotated 90 º around its longitudinal axis for placement, so that its wide side and narrow side can withstand the extrusion force. Each sample cell is subjected to pressure in one direction only. Use different samples for each test.

3. For coin type or button type batteries, the battery plane should be parallel to the plane of the extrusion device to withstand the extrusion force.
